Preparatory study – cooperation with Canada

The realization that the Canadians' adversities and problems were similar to those in Leader LAG PH's area initiated this feasibility study. How can we learn from each other to find new solutions and opportunities together?

By finding Swedish actors who could learn from the Canadian solutions to implement them, the project also wanted to offer Canadians the opportunity to take advantage of the Swedish solutions and ideas.

First of all, the various opportunities offered by the Canadians were analyzed. The project then based itself on the local needs that exist to select which parts would be included in the planned implementation project.

Through both telephone calls and digital meetings, suitable partners in Canada were sought, which then led to letters of intent being written with these partners.

The project developed a concrete action plan and anchored the partnership for implementation. Furthermore, the project led to increased competence, new networks and development of the local countryside.

A collaborative project was started between Leader LAG PH and Saint-Camille, Quebec in Canada, to inspire and develop work in sustainable development.
