More movement, more community

The project More girls in movement aims to create more safe and inspiring meeting places for girls in grades 6–9 in Östra Göinge. Through special girls' evenings, the girls themselves get to participate and talk about what would encourage more to want to join in football, tournaments, or other activities. Their ideas will then form the basis for new activity opportunities during the autumn of 2026.

The purpose is to get more girls moving, but without demands for performance, matches, or that one must develop in a certain sport. The focus is instead on community, joy, self-confidence, and reducing loneliness. The project aims to empower girls by creating forums where their needs, wishes, and voices are taken seriously.

An important part is that young people themselves gather other young people and drive the conversation forward. The goal is to conduct an event, a workshop, reach about 40 participants, and create two trial activities together with Göingeskolans IF. In the long term, the proposals can lead to more recurring activities in collaboration with the school, municipality, and association life.
