Future rural development

How can we together create better collaborations with the municipality and develop our place on earth? The residents wanted to find answers to this in order to strengthen the attractiveness and identity of the area.

In addition to the central town, the old Tyringe municipality also consists of the rural villages of Finja, Hörja, Röke, Västra Torup and Matteröd/Skyrup. The rural towns had a clear need for a collective resource that highlights and concretizes the entire district.

The project aimed to create conditions for new collaborations with the goal of increased commercial service and a functioning association life.

A project coordinator was hired and worked full-time throughout the project. The website was created with a clear structure and information. Throughout the project, several successful meetings have been held where collaborations with various associations in the local area have also been launched.

The great non-profit commitment together with the work that the project coordinator Martin Rapp has carried out is a vital part of the good project result. As a common thread, networking of various kinds has run through the entire project. The various meetings that have taken place have been so successful that several collaborations with different associations have been started, not only in the local area but also around the municipality.

In addition, various village development meetings have taken place, including with the villages in Östra Göinge municipality. Now the initiative has been taken to create a separate Village Council, this together with All of Sweden will live.

Increased accessibility thanks to broader marketing and better conditions for collaborating across all borders within the association community – these are some of the results! Through the right priorities and a project plan that must be a living document that is constantly evaluated, this is an important experience that the project has brought with it – that and the great benefit of working more together!
