Nature experience around the corner

Wake up to birdsong, have breakfast with a view of grazing animals and experience rural life up close - a glamping dream in the heart of Nedraby has come true.

The project aimed to create a close-to-nature experience for visitors by building a glamping site on a farm in Nedraby in Tomelilla municipality. Two tents with comfortable beds, an outdoor kitchen and an environmentally friendly outdoor toilet made it possible for families with children and other guests to stay right next to the animals and experience rural life up close. The goal was to offer an educational and relaxing stay where visitors could gain a deeper understanding of the interaction between animals and nature.

The planning involved careful drawings and discussions about the layout of the site. The project was carried out by the farm owners and local craftsmen. They built wooden decks to create a stable foundation, installed a spacious and weather-protected outdoor kitchen, and set up glamping tents with cozy lighting and comfortable beds. Eco-friendly toilets and an outdoor shower with solar-heated water were installed to increase comfort. Collaborations with Tomelilla municipality, tourist offices and libraries helped to market the project.

The project resulted in a sustainable and inviting glamping, an experience that will attract families with children, grandparents with grandchildren and other nature enthusiasts. The beautiful surroundings, with easy access to animals and walking paths along the Nybroån River, create a unique stay. Through marketing on social media and local information channels, the glamping is expected to be able to accommodate up to 160 visitors per season. The project contributed to new collaborations, strengthened local development and the operation is planned to continue in the long term and strengthen the farm's financial stability.
