InfoPoints in Hässleholm Municipality

The project was implemented in Leader Lag PH during the 2014-2024 programming period.

When there was demand and need from the tourism industry in Hässleholm Municipality to improve available service, the project was started to offer this.

About the project

An InfoPoint is a simpler, staffed tourist service point. The project aimed to implement and evaluate the concept in order to achieve the goal of strengthened hospitality.

Activities

Together with Akademi Båstad, training was arranged on how to create good hospitality, increased attractiveness and additional sales. The project owner also arranged a study trip where several of the municipality's various tourist attractions were visited.

Brochure stands, brochures, flags and stickers were ordered and then put up at the connected service locations. For those operators who had fiber broadband, access points were also installed.

Results

The primary goal was to establish 20 InfoPoints. The result was 23 service points, which meant 23 new physical meeting places. The project also conducted a survey that showed that the vast majority of visits were about the need for tourist information. Almost all respondents were visitors who were satisfied with the staff's attitude, service and knowledge.

After the end of the project period, another InfoPoint has been added. At places such as Hörja Café, Hovdala Castle, Pelargonhuset at Flädergården, Hotell Statt, Sösdala Library and Alpacka Ekofarm in Hultet, there are trained and competent staff who are ready to give advice, guide and inspire those visiting the municipality of Hässleholm.
