Weather protection at
Stackedalas
outdoor area
Stackedalas outdoor area is being developed for activities year-round
About the project
Tollarps Scout Corps is establishing two weather-protected barbecue areas and an outdoor classroom with wind protection at Stackedalas outdoor area. The project stems from Tollarps Village Association's village development plan to make the area more attractive for both residents and visitors.
The purpose is to increase accessibility and make it possible to use the area year-round, regardless of weather. Slabs are being laid under and in front of the buildings for better accessibility, even for people with reduced mobility.
The project benefits residents, school classes, associations, and visitors and promotes public health and social inclusion. The buildings are constructed from sustainable materials and will be maintained long-term by the scout corps with support from the municipality, membership fees, and donations.
Work was paused during the winter due to a storm, but the construction company resumed in the spring. The barbecue areas are to be completed in time for the inauguration in connection with this year's St. George celebration on April 26.

The board's justification: Our strategy has identified a significant need for meeting places, and the project contributes to this goal in the strategy. Additionally, the project is expected to lead to more people venturing into the woods and fields, which creates increased public health. The attractiveness of the location increases for both residents and visitors.
