Outdoor gym at Lillasjön

The area around Lillasjön is a popular walking area with an electric-lit exercise loop. An outdoor gym adjacent to the loop broadens the options for exercise as well as socializing.

To enrich exercise and strengthen health promotion in Hästveda and the surrounding area, the goal was to provide added value to the exercise loop around Lillasjön in Hästveda. To achieve this, the project would build an outdoor gym with seven different exercise equipment and associated lighting.

The seven pieces of exercise equipment were installed along with lighting, an information board and a bench with a table. The National Land Survey of Sweden was helpful in measuring the current location and the project gathered information from other actors who had built their own outdoor gyms.

When the project was completed and the outdoor gym was inaugurated, the municipality of Hässleholm took over the operation of the site. Already during the project, there was increased interest and the result will remain for a long time as the material chosen was durable metal.
